Quentin is arrested for the death of Bruno. Angelique plants a voodoo doll in Maggie’s clothing, causing Quentin to believe that Maggie caused Bruno’s death. Quentin tells Barnabas that he suspects Maggie caused Bruno’s death by witchcraft. Bruno’s autopsy points to Quentin’s guilt; the Inspector tells Quentin that they suspect him in Angelique’s death and that her body will be exhumed (this troubles Quentin as he and Cyrus destroyed her body).
