Foggy's become interested in his lineage and is positive he's related to the Dewhirsts living on a big estate nearby. Compo spots Nora eyeing some hats in a shop window and concludes that a hat is his ticket to winning Nora's heart. Foggy offers to help buy one if Compo assists him in his scheme to make a good impression on the Dewhirsts of Ogleby Hall.
